Illustrative Save the Dates

For this project, I was contracted to design the Save the Dates for a summer wedding. The clients wanted to incorporate their heritages, wedding color scheme, fantasy-inspired illustrations, and a warm design that felt true to them.

With the challenge of blending the more geometric Native design elements and organic, detailed Swedish forms, I hand-drew all of the art for the card. This helped to merge the two beautiful, yet distinct styles while providing a mystical feel. I added a gradient in the back that matched their color scheme and used their wedding logo on the back. The type was inspired by Trajan forms, as the font is reminiscent of medieval forms, adding to the elven-inspired details.
