A Stable Christmas

Designed for the 2025 Christmas sermon series, these graphics deliver simplicity with warm, hand-drawn forms. Inspired by vintage Christmas colors, layout, and presentations, I focused on creating a series that captured the intention behind the main message of the sermon series - putting oneself within the stable to see how the characters in the nativity connect to their own lives and how the Lord works in and through them, even when things are hard.

I combined the use of earthy browns along with the traditional holiday colors to further add to a classic Christmas design. The token nativity characters were highlighted through different slides and positioning, as each week the pastors pushed one of their stories to the forefront of the Sunday message. Almost every element was hand-drawn, adding to the concept of humanity within the nativity story.

I also had the opportunity to create a printed booklet for the congregation to take home. I used the logo, framework, and character designs as the base of the design. Instead of incorporating the Christmas colors, I looked to strip things down by only using earthy tones to give a more honesst and raw feel to match the reflection questions featured in the booklet.
